```
## Rules for the Proctor
- One judgment point per sim. If you find yourself asking two questions, split the sim.
- No patient identifiers or PHI. Use "the patient" or a role label (e.g., "the newly admitted teen").
- No physical demonstrations of restraint, seclusion, or any hands-on technique. Verbal only.
- No clinical policy statements. Refer to "the threshold" or "the line," not to a policy number.
- If a participant raises a policy question, say: "Good catch — that goes to the unit educator after the sim." Do not improvise policy in the sim.
- If a participant raises a safety concern about a real patient, stop the sim and hand off to the charge nurse.
## What the Proctor Does Not Do
- Does not fill out a formal evaluation form.
- Records staff participant names only for attendance and trend review; does not record names against a competency decision.
- Does not share the sheet outside the unit leadership and CCO review.
