Five-Minute Sim Playbook

Run one single-point simulation, repeat the right response once, capture one proctor row, and leave the unit with a trend signal instead of a paperwork burden.

Operating Spine

The loop is small by design.

The proctor reads the scene, names the missed step, asks the judgment question, gives the right response, names the threshold, and reruns the moment once in plain language.

PrepPick one card and read it once. Do not stack multiple judgment points.
RunRead the scene and missed step, then take two or three quick answers.
RepeatRead the right response and rerun the scene once with that response.
CaptureRecord one CSV row: date, sim, four checks, participants, and notes.
Run Board

Run one sim from start to capture.

Select a sim, start the timer, follow the seven-step proctor script, then generate the CSV row.

Current Sim

Five-minute run window 05:00
  1. Read the scene aloud.
  2. State the missed step.
  3. Ask the judgment question. Take two or three quick answers.
  4. Read the right response.
  5. State the threshold to call for help.
  6. State repair and log: patient check-in, team check-in, one row.
  7. Rerun the scene once with the right response.

Proctor Checks

Capture Row

CSV row will appear here.
20 Sim Cards

Pick by what the unit is seeing.

The bank is grouped by judgment point: de-escalation, team and coverage, threshold and restraint, and treatment-plan continuity.

Trend Readback

The data burden stays one row.

The signal comes from repetition: how often sims are run, how cleanly the loop is followed, and which judgment points keep producing uncertainty.

Run Count

Sims per week

Count proctor rows by week. A two-week drop tells the unit manager cadence has slipped.

Fidelity

All four checks marked Y

Scene set, question asked, right response named, threshold named. Below 80% triggers proctor refresh.

Gap Map

Top recurring judgment gaps

Persistently uncertain sims are reviewed for wording clarity or moved into a larger teaching moment.

File-Ready Assets

These are copied from the existing corrected-scope asset pack and served beside this quick playbook.

Validation Boundary

Review draft, not clinical policy.

All sim content, trend rules, and deployment decisions require Nexus / CPI / risk / legal validation before operational use. CPI is referenced only as the existing internal training framework; no proprietary CPI text is reproduced here. No PHI belongs in this playbook or its capture sheet.
